The Neurosurgical Peruvian American Foundation (NPAF) was created with a purpose of providing resources and educational programs for the advancement of Neurosurgery in Peru and cultivating opportunities for Peruvian Neurosurgeons to utilize the latest available techniques for the benefit of their patients. NPAF was established in 1996 under the California Secretary of States as a non profit Charitable Foundation with an IRS identification of a section 501(c)(3).

Dr. Pineda as Chairman of the Board of NPAF, has dedicated his time and efforts to promote the goals of the Foundation by encouraging young Peruvian Neurosurgeons to continue their search for knowledge and persist in their dedication to provide the best health care available for their patients.

The Board of Directors of the Foundation believe that by facilitating these teaching activities the Foundation has provided the direction for independent search groups to continue to develop wide intellectual educational training programs as well as encourage other concomitant programs for the progress of Neurosurgery in Peru accomplishing its goals.
